The park pavilion serves as a gathering place for special events such us concerts, dances, dinners or art shows. It is the focal point of the park set against a long row of commercial buildings lining the park.
Cruciform in plan, eight smaller pyramids surround a large pyramid in the center. A sky light at the apex of each pyramid admits day light to the interior. Wood lattices between masonry columns supporting the roof pyramids are strongly influenced by the historic market in Charleston.
