The school was gently placed to minimize impact on the natural wooded site. The courtyards were incorporated to take advantage of the site and to save as many trees as possible.

Based on the concept of schools within a school, this project was designed with the goal of creating small, identifiable units. Four, one story buildings with sloping roofs are grouped around a central courtyard and are connected by covered walks. Each of these schools has its own entrance and lobby.

The Kindergarten and First Grade are contained in one building. Two buildings, in turn, house the second and third grades and the fourth and fifth grades. The fourth building contains administration, the media center, the cafeteria, and multi-purpose room. The school was designed for 700 students and has a total area of 75,000 square feet.

Completed: 1994    Const. Cost: $ 5 million
